Delivery Information
We take great care to ensure your cake arrives in perfect condition. Please read the following information carefully to ensure a smooth and successful delivery.
How We Deliver
- All cakes are delivered by a trained cake delivery handler to ensure they arrive safely.
- Deliveries are made to your front door only.
- Our drivers will not enter your property, side entrance, rear garden, or any internal rooms.
- Please ensure someone is available to receive and safely place the cake upon delivery.
Flats and Apartments:
If you live in a flat or high-rise building, you must meet the driver at the main building entrance. We are unable to deliver directly to upper floors.
Tiered Cakes:
If you have ordered a tiered or heavy cake, please ensure you or the person receiving it is able to safely handle its weight.
Checking Your Cake
Before accepting your cake:
- Please inspect the cake carefully.
- Check that toppers, charms, and decorations are correct and undamaged.
- Once the cake has been accepted, we cannot guarantee that any issues identified later can be rectified.
Delivery Schedule & Pricing
Non-Wedding Cakes
- Monday, Wednesday, Friday & Saturday
- Afternoon: 12pm – 3pm — £9.99
- Evening: 6pm – 9pm — £14.95
- Saturday: 11am – 3pm — £14.95
Wedding Cakes
- 10:30am – 3pm — £30
- After 3pm — £40
Additional Charges:
- City centre deliveries: +£15
- You will receive an email or WhatsApp confirmation on the day of delivery confirming your time slot.
- We do not provide exact arrival times — please ensure someone is available during your selected slot.
Missed Deliveries
- If you are unable to receive your cake at the agreed time, it will not be redelivered.
- You will need to collect your cake from our unit at a time convenient for us (this may be the following day).
- There is no “safe place” option. Cakes cannot be left outside unless within a secure porch and deemed safe by the driver.
- If delivery cannot be completed due to customer unavailability, a £15 handling/restocking fee will apply, payable before collection.
Wedding Cake Set-Ups
- Please inform us of your guest arrival time and ensure your venue allows vendor access at least one hour beforehand.
- We require a one-hour set-up window to prepare your cake at the venue.
- Once arrived we allow a 15 minute window to gain access.
- If access is denied or delayed, we may need to continue with other deliveries. In this case, you would need to collect the cake from our unit — we do not offer redelivery.
Zero-Tolerance Policy
We value the safety and wellbeing of our delivery team.
- Abusive language, hostility, or threatening behaviour will not be tolerated.
- If this occurs, our driver will leave immediately, your delivery will be cancelled, and no refund will be issued.
Delivery Areas
- Online booking is available for B-postcode deliveries only.
- For other areas, please contact us for a custom delivery quote.
- Minimum order values apply:
- Walsall & Wolverhampton: Orders over £450
- Coventry: Orders over £525
- We deliver across the UK for larger orders — minimum spend applies outside Birmingham.
Cancellations
- You may cancel delivery and choose to collect your cake instead.
- Delivery fees are non-refundable once paid.
- Collections are by appointment only — standard collection times are 11:00am to 11:30am unless otherwise agreed.
Cake Storage Guidelines
Upon Delivery:
- Cakes are delivered in a refrigerated van to ensure freshness and quality.
- Allow your cake to reach room temperature before serving:
- Hot weather: 1–2 hours
- Cold weather: 3–5 hours
- Do not cut the cake immediately upon delivery as it will be firm and best enjoyed once softened.
Storage Recommendations:
- Keep cakes in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
- If refrigerating, ensure no strong odours are present, as these may affect the flavour and aroma.
- Do not refrigerate cupcakes — they are best stored in an airtight container at room temperature.
Shelf Life:
- Whole cakes: Best consumed within 3–5 days.
- Cupcakes: Best enjoyed on the day of delivery to maintain freshness.
All our cakes are freshly made to order — we never use frozen cakes.

By placing an order, you agree to our full Term & Conditions, which operate alongside the policies above.
Uber Connect Guidelines
We also offer the option of Uber connect. With Uber connect you can direct the closest driver to collect your cake on your behalf and bring it to your designated address.
This does need to be setup and paid for by yourself which will allow you to stay in total control of the collection and delivery.
Once the driver has arrived we will place the cake in the car and take pictures to ensure the cake has left us in tact and secure.
Then you await delivery of your special Khalid’s Kakes cake.
